22 PLN Substations Affected by Jakarta Flood

PT PLN (Persero) revealed that 22 electricity substations were affected by flooding in DKI Jakarta on Thursday (6/10).Of the 22 substations, 7 were temporarily extinguished.General Manager of PLN Main Distribution Unit (UID) Jakarta Raya Doddy B. Pangaribuan said electricity had to be temporarily turned off to maintain public safety during heavy rains and floods."Electricity will immediately be normalized when everything is dry and ready. At this time, please be patient because the safety of our souls is the main priority," he said in an official statement.PLN recorded heavy rains in Jakarta since Thursday (6/10) afternoon and caused several locations in South Jakarta to experience flooding.The flood-affected areas include the Pamulang area, Perum Citra Kencana Legoso, Jl.Bukit Seruna, Jeruk Purut, Cilandak, Jl.South Kemang, Jl.Warung Buncit, Jl.West Pejaten II, and its surroundings.Therefore, PLN urges the public to always be aware of the dangers of electricity in the rainy and flood seasons.If water starts to enter the house, residents can independently turn off electricity from the Mini Circuit Breaker (MCB) on the kWh meter.Furthermore, residents can contact PLN through the PLN Mobile application or Contact Center 123.
