Pangaribuan said that human safety is the main thing that must be maintained.PLN is committed to maintaining the reliability of electric power to customers' homes by prioritizing the principle of electricity safety.Efforts made by PLN to maintain electricity safety include installing a kWh meter equipped with a Mini Circuit Breaker (MCB) to measure and limit the electrical power that enters the customer's house.The incoming electricity is in accordance with the subscription power and in accordance with the capacity of the cable installed in the customer's house."If there is no meter in the customer's house, it is feared that the incoming electric current will be excessive so that the cable is hot and has the potential to short circuit, causing sparks and fires," said Doddy.PLN's next step is to carry out routine inspections of the electricity network that is PLN's assets, starting from the generator to the kWh meter.In checking the kWh meter, PLN has a program to control the use of electricity (P2TL) to ensure that the kWh meter functions both as a meter and as a barrier to electricity to the house.The P2TL officer checks whether the kWh meter is in normal condition, there are no abnormalities and is supplying electricity according to the subscription power."If there is an abnormality in the kWh meter, it has the potential to be dangerous because the electricity entering the house may not be as it should be, again, this also has the potential for fire, we really care about customer safety," added Doddy.The limits and authority of the PLN Main Distribution Unit range from distribution substations to kWh meters.Furthermore, from the kWh meter into the customer's house, it becomes the right and authority of the customer itself.PLN provides tips to customers to avoid electrical hazards, including:1.
