Bulgaria NEK launches tender for Vacha-1 HPP 110kV switchyard-EBRD

Sofia (Bulgaria), March 6 (SeeNews)-Bulgarian National Electricity Company-NEK has launched a tender for the repair of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Vacha-1 HPP 110 kV switchyard and other integrated control HPP systems, said Wednesday.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development stated in the procurement notice that NEK will use the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF) managed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to provide part of the contract.

"...The scope of the contract includes design, manufacturing, delivery, installation, designer supervision, adjustment, testing and commissioning facilities: new 110 kV high-voltage equipment: isolating switches, measuring transformers, circuit breakers for Vacha -1 HPP switchgear; integrated control Systems, excitation systems, turbine governors, relay protection, new hydroelectric generator sets, electricity meters,” said the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The procurement process is open to companies in all countries.

The deadline for submitting quotations is May 8.

KIDSF funded or co-funded projects related to the decommissioning of four units of Bulgaria’s only Kozloduy nuclear power plant, which were shut down before the country’s accession to the EU in 2007 to resolve EU nuclear safety issues.
