Overcurrent tripping can be divided into fixed installation or modular type according to the installation and installation. The fixed release is the factory-installed type and the circuit breaker is processed as a whole. Once left, the rated current of the release can be adjusted, while the modular installation type As a circuit breaker-installed module, the buckle is adjustable and flexible.

Instantaneous type: 0.02s, used for short circuit protection;

Short time delay type: 0.1-0.4s, used for short circuit and overload protection;

Long time delay: less than 10S, used for overload protection;

At present, the commonly used DZ series air switch (miniature circuit breaker with leakage protection), commonly used specifications are: C16, C25, C32, C40, C60, C80, C100, where C represents the breaking current characteristic and is C, that is, the trip current. For example, C20 means that the tripping current is 20A, and the tripping characteristic is C curve. Generally, C20 circuit breaker should be selected to install 3500W water heater, and C32 circuit breaker should be used to install 6500W water heater.

Circuit breakers are used to protect wires and prevent fires, so they should be selected according to the size of the wire rather than the power of the electrical appliance. If the circuit breaker is too large, it will not protect the wires. When the wire is overloaded, the circuit breaker will still not trip, bringing hidden dangers to household safety.

For air switches with load motors, D-type characteristics should be selected to avoid starting current 5-8 times larger when the motor starts.

(2) Type B circuit breaker: 2-3 times the rated current. It is generally used for pure resistive loads and low-voltage lighting circuits. It is often used for household distribution boxes to protect household appliances and personal safety. It is currently used less.

(3) Type C circuit breaker: 5-10 times the rated current, and it needs to be disconnected within 0.1 seconds. This circuit breaker is the most commonly used and is often used to protect power distribution lines and lighting lines with large switching currents.

(4) Type D circuit breaker: 10-20 times the rated current. It is mainly used in the environment where the instantaneous current of electrical appliances is large. It is less used in general households. It is suitable for high inductive loads and large inrush current systems. It is often used to protect High inrush current equipment.
