Romelectro, together with its specialists Transelectrica, has installed the first 6 110 kV cells out of a total of 13 at the 110 kV Roman Nord substation.

The investment project, worth over $4 million, aims at modernizing the electrical installations related to the 110 kV cells and the complete automation of the station to ensure the teleconduction conditions. The 110 kV Roman Nord substation is an important injection node for the supply of local consumers in Neamț County and was put into operation in 1989.

Also, the modernization project of the 400/110 kV Bacău Sud substation, an important energy node on the 400 kV axis Gutinaş – Bacău Sud – Roman Nord – Suceava, continues with the works from the second stage of modernization of the 110 kV substation.

The 110 kV Bacău Sud substation was built in 1975 and is an injection node for supplying local consumers (industrial platform, Bacău city).

The investment for the modernization of Bacău Sud and Roman Nord stations, worth $8.8 million, will ensure the bringing of the most advanced technical solutions of the installations related to the two transformation stations.
